This being my first post, ill make it brief XD. I play metal, blues, hip hop, and funk bass, but I just recently joined a post-hardcore band, and I have know idea where to start with this!! Any advice from you guys? Should I try to incorporate other styles? Any help would be appreciated :smug:

medium watt tube head, 215, passive bass with hot pickups, listen to oldies and jazz, to

keep things dynamic: play with fingers and a pick, use dead notes and harmonics

influenced heavily by hardcore devo, nou, and brainiac

Just listen to fugazi... over and over and over again... if your band has that DC post hardcore sound, its all really bass driven but definitely incorporate more melodic baselines, a la Joe Lally from Fugazi. And then send me a demo, I loooooove post hardcore! Haha
