(Advise needed) Peavey Tour 700 or keep Ampeg B2R

About three or four years ago I ended up with these two exact (almost, the Ampeg was the B2RE) heads at the same time. Took them both outside so I wouldn't break any windows and tested them out through the same cabs.
The Peavey easily won in both tone, power and features, although I did like the way the Ampeg's Mid knob was voiced.
Kept and used the Peavey for about a year before getting into Markbass.
There were two small negatives about the Peavey:
1. If you have one (mine was) from the first production run,
there is a Triac resistor in there that can cut the power amp prematurely. Peavey realized this and left it out of later runs. There is an easy fix if you have one of these early ones and if you're handy enough to just cut it out (I can email the document of instructions if anybody needs it).
2. The weird faceplate made it impossible to close the lid on a certain SKB rack. Others have had the same problem with the Tour series heads.

I also have a tour 700. Great head, does everything i want it for and i play a range from metal, d'n'b, dance, reggae, dub. I dont know why people assume everybody hates peavey
However i have had the problem mentioned above, is it possible to get the instructions on how to remove it?

I also bought a Peavey Tour 700 recently. Been pretty damn good so far. It takes some tweaking at first to get the sound you want (there are alot of EQ features on this thing), but for the price i think its a steal.
The only real downside is that the head is *somewhat* heavy and bulky. It weighs about 24 pounds, takes up nearly all the space behind it in my rack case. But its not a big deal.
