AE Guitars Medium scale necks

Hi all,

I am playing with the idea of getting a 32” scale neck for a VM Squier Jazz Bass . Are the AE necks a drop in fit- or would I have to reposition the bridge?

I have asked AE the same question, but still waiting for a response, it being the weekend and all.

AE got back to me- their reply follows:

Hello. Thanks for reaching out! Our necks are built to 2.5" heel width. You will need to make sure your bass body adheres to the 2.5" heel width standard or you may need to shim the neck to compensate for any extra space. Also, if your bridge is already positioned to 32" scale, you will not need to adjust it for our necks. However, if it's currently 34" scale, this is not a conversion neck so the bridge will need to be adjusted in that case.
