Given Aerosmith's corporate structure that was imposed on them in the 1980s, due to their inability to keep away from Peruvian Marching Powder and smack, he has no ability or right to bring any such claim as he is just an employee, not an owner.

Which is also true of everyone else in the band, including Steven Tyler. They own nothing with regards to the band.

I said it in the other thread, I think it's sad:

1. It's not a full concert. It's a couple of songs - songs they all know in their sleep. One rehearsal would have been enough.
2. I'm guessing the new drummer is probably tighter. I'm guessing they could find better musicians to replace all of them at his age. They don't want to lose their ringer.

3. It's the HOF. I'm guessing the fans there would rather see the people who got Aerosmith there - it's a friggin' victory lap.

I'm sure we're not getting both sides of the story, but the band doesn't come off well. "Not enough rehearsal time for this weekend." Really? I know he's a drummer but I think a half-century or at least several decades will work.

Or maybe JK just can't play well anymore. From what I've heard, it's not like his bandmates are at the top of their game.

Like @JRA, it's tough for me to care about this issue (the irony of this post notwithstanding).

I'm guessing that is exactly the point. With an ace drummer, the rest of the band can coast - it makes their performance better, and the drummer is not as visible as Tyler or Perry.

How is that the case? Nobody in the band owns the band?

When bands incorporate all kinds of weird things happen. Usually members will own equal shares but when members come and go, ownership gets weird. In the link to Bun E. Carlos of Cheap Trick I posted earlier even though he's out of the band he retains his 25% ownership so his replacement is just a hired hand.
