Affordable half-acoustic 4-string?

Since I've been starting recently playing more acoustic songs, I would like a proper acoustic bass to match, and I don't mean a hollowbody like the Höfners, a proper acoustic with an output for an amp.

Though, is there a massive difference between an Ignition and a proper acoustic?

Looking at the less than 500€ mark.

There's tons of them out there. I have a Dean my wife got me when they first came out. I call them acoustic-electrics. Flat wounds make it sound almost like an upright. I wish it was a five string, though...

In the past few weeks I've come to really love my Dean Exotica…more than my two regular basses, in fact.
It's an excellent acoustic bass for the money, $399, and the DMT I2EX preamp, Aphex Aural Exciter and Big Bottom Circuitry make it a tone monster...I have mine set out of phase and I usually keep the enhance switch on.
I recently put on a set of D'Addario black tapewounds and decided I'd found the perfect strings for the sound I was looking for.
The other day I bought a Planet Waves feedback surpressor (a black rubber disk that fits in the soundhole) and was surprised that it further enhanced the tone. I still can't believe how great it sounds...bass with a capital B!
This bass is so much nicer than my old Dean acoustic bass...it has the perfect neck and far better electronics…that I'm thinking about buying one in black.
