After 40 do you start falling apart

before 40, i could eat what i pleased, move without pain or issues, had no diabetes or high blood pressure or tendonitis or anything else. everything worked.
This was me until 50. Since then I'm on meds for high triglycerides and blood pressure and now cholesterol.

For me 50 was the peak. Since then, mysterious pains that come and go, susceptibility to anything that's going around in North America, bad knees, loss of skin elasticity along with weird growths, I can no longer see my genitals without looking in the mirror, and I am now a continuous fount of phlegm.

For what it's worth, Panama has the most open stem cell laws and a lot of American doctors commute down there. This particular treatment is supposed to do a lot to fight aging. The cells don't turn into anything, but apparently get other cells to really work and heal whatever is messed up.

Forget that. I embrace what I am and what I will be. This whole stay young nonsense....BAH! If I start going bald I will buzz it, if I can't walk I will get a walker, if I can't wipe my own butt well in that case might have to start the car in the garage with the door closed. I have to draw the line somewhere.

I guess it's a crapshoot as to who falls apart when and where and at what time. Genetics plays a role plus a host of other factors like diet etc.

I have been pretty fortunate...so far anyway.

But I've kept myself in pretty good shape along the way for the most part.

Got back into bodybuilding when I was 55 just for the heck of it after a hiatus of about ten years. Did that for five years until I hit 60.

I'm always in some kind of shape be it fitness or cardio etc.etc. plus other things.

But fitness alone isn't a "get out of jail free" card.

As mentioned, there are things that just simply happen to people as the clock moves on.

Count yourself lucky if there's not too much wrong with you.

I hear ya. I found calisthenics works best for me. In fact, majority of the time the only time I use weights is when I want to do weighted pull-ups and dips.

I don't know if they do butt injections, but the odds of avoiding a hip replacement are getting up there. Now that would be worth it.

Coincidentally, I've backed off from actual weight training by about 50% of what I normally have been doing for years, instead doing the pull-ups and dips as my 'every other day' routine, and only hitting weights twice a week. They've always been two of my favorite exercises, and I'm fortunate I can still do them. Not weighted anymore, and sometimes I use those assist-bands, but nothing gives the entire upper body a pump more than combining those two.

I heard many times if you break your hip, it's guaranteed you will be dead within a year replacement or not.

I am no expert but that is what I hear.

Can't say for sure, but according to a doctor on a podcast 60% (I think) that needed surgery got injections and are fine years later. One patient waa 92 and skirted the surgery. It is currently the only country where this particular method is legal.
