Orange Terror Bass 500, 2nd gen, and 2 OBC-112’s. Nabbed all this before covid, and it’s a monster setup. I liked it so much, I picked up an AD200 MKIII, which is also a monster in both tone and weight.

I also have an SVT-7 Pro, which to me is more meh. I finally realized a few years ago that I'm not an Ampeg guy, after trying Sansamps, Ampeg pedals, and this SVT-7 Pro. I don't really need to try a real SVT, since the Oranges push all my buttons.

Still loving my Mesa 800D. Definitely having fun introducing it to all the situations I'm in.
But it hasn't swept my original D800 out the door because it has it's own sound too.

I bought an Aguilar SL212 last year and loved it so much I purchased a matching Aguilar 700 head. I rarely use amps live anymore, but this combination really kicks hard.

I bought a TC Electronic BQ500 from a friend of mine for $100 as a backup in case my PF500 did that thing PF500s do but after a couple of months it occurred to me that if my PF500 did die, that wasn’t an amp that I particularly enjoyed playing through (at least not more than the BAM200 that I already had and carried everywhere in my gigbag) so I sold it for what I paid for it.

I bought a PBj and have loved it for the last 25 years. It’s going to the grave with me.

I bought an Eden Rack amp system (Navi preamp and WT-1250 stereo power amp) it’s still the best sounding amp I’ve ever owned. It’s also going to the grave with me too as there isn’t much of a market for it and I’m not giving it away. Only a few would going to want to haul an 80+lbs rack around. Then how many of those have the speakers can that can handle 1250 watts of pure clean solid watts and have gigs where a rig like that is suitable?

I still absolutely love my Genzler Magellan 800 and Nu Classic 212. I haven't played a single gig without it since getting it right at a year ago. I will occasionally plug into my old Genz Benz Shuttlemax 9.2 and Uber Bass 212, and I'll be reminded of why that was my only setup for around 15 years. What a fantastic amp!

Still, the Magellan does something different enough from the GB to warrant keeping it and continuing with it as my go to setup. If I ever wanted to get real silly, I've considered running both amps and cabs simultaneously just cuz.

This will probably be controversial.

I got the new Bass 800D and I don't like the EQ. Yes, the midrange is great. But the bass isn't wowing me, and the treble knob is utterly useless - doesn't do anything below 9.

I did like the sound so I'm giving a WD 800 a try.
