Agro vs Pork Loin

I have both on my board and think they are both great.

Pork Loin = transparent OD, with a blend, that goes from mild to pretty mean but IMO sounds best dialled in with just a bit of hair round the edges

Agro = Not so transparent distortion that could theoreticlly do OD but sounds best at higher saturation settings.

Get both

Just to give you another opinion, I bought the agro, ued it for 3 band practices, and decided to sell it....Def not transparent and I found that although its very aggressive and cuts through in a band setting very well, it def cuts some lows out. Going from my clean sound to the agro it was very noticable, like it was missing some 'girth' if that makes any sense. Other people have said they notice absolutely no loss of bottom end. Guess it depends on setup and everything. FYI I use a P Bass> svt 2 pro> 810e.

I sort of agree. I think the Agro does a mild OD very well, and can even do clean sounds with just a touch of warmth, but I think it works best as a distortion, which is what I use it for. I think the Agro and the PL can touch on some of the same territory, but the PL seems a big bigger and warmer sounding than the Agro in the warm mild OD area. The PL can't touch the Agro at raging OD or distortion, though the PL ccan get pretty overdriven. Both great pedals. No doubt.

For what it's worth, the way I have it set in my rig, the Agro actually boosts the low end some when I kick it in. I think the contour needs to be at or below 9:00 to get that. It does seem to lose some low end above that setting. Also, I'm running the saturation full out which adds a lot of EVERYTHING it seems.
