Aguilar question

Would you say this cab is the equivalent of a good 2x10 as to volume? I am going to try one based on reviews. Looking to get a paor of cabs - one for practice and smaller gigs (or with good pa support) and second for larger gigs.

Oops - thought I had it in the title - GS112. Figured one w/o tweeter (I like old school sound), maybe tweeter for second. Thanks.

I'm more familiar with the DB 112 and the SL 112 than the GS. I have DB112's and rarely use them alone, almost always as a pair, but I do think they would hang where you'd expect a 2x10 to.

Thanks. Gotta sell my other rig first, but heard great things about them. Gotta compare the gs and db - not much difference in price.

The DB's tend to be more "mid present" the GS, more round and "bass heavy" your mileage will vary. it's all subjective, depends on what you're looking for. If you really do like "old school" tone, the GS' may be exactly what you're looking for.

I'd always thought the DB series were more 'old school' sounding. The GS cabs are a li'l scooped in the mids.
I s'pose it's depending on what ya call modern or old school tone.
Nice cabs tho.
