Aguilar S 2x10

I plugged it up to my BossGT6B/Poweramp. first impressions, Its a very well made cab. Very small! Nice carpeting, I love the little covers on the screwheads that connect grill to the cab.

Now to the sound. I put a Ampeg SVT setting with no cabinet simulation on the Boss GT-6B. And plugged in my Brice Ash Jazz with Barts and Badass Bridge. After tweaking all the levels,I got to playin a few slap/groove lines. This cab for the price I paid or even for the regular price is winner IMO. The lows tight, just don't go overboard in the e.q. And the mids cut thru like every else has said. The highs were sweet, I actually like the tweeter on this. I found no harshness on this cab. The volume on this cab is ok. Its good by itself if you need monitoring or practice. Its better suited as an add on to another cab.

Compared to my Eden 2x10XST. While it doens't have the massive volume or Bass response. I actually liked the sound of this cab better. I don't think I prefer flat sounding cabs. But I wish you could combine the volume of the Eden on this cab.

In all, for the price I paid for this cab. It was a great deal. I don't regret it at all. I gotta stop checking the outlet section. When all I wanted was a pack of strings.

I just wanted to let everyone know that as of yesterday, Musician's Friend is sold out of the S 210. I know because after trying my S 410 out on a gig Saturday night, and I was so impressed I wanted to get an S 210. I was rather disappointed to see that they no longer carry the S 210. Now is the time to get the 410 or 810. They won't be around much longer.

They come and go - I was going to pull the trigger a few weeks back, but they were out of 4ohm cabs. Couple weeks later, they were back.

I used my S210 as an extension cab with my Mesa Walkabout Scout on Friday night and was very pleased with the results.

I am used to playing restaurants with my blues band, so the Scout is usually enough to cover the room. I played a larger venue this weekend and also played with a louder drummer than I normally play with, so I needed some extra air movement.

I turned the S210 on its side and placed the Scout on top. With only 300W pushing both the Scout cab and the Aguilar, I had no problems with farting, or anything from the low Bs on either my fretted Bongo with Roto flats/mute, or my fretless Bongo with TI Powerbass.

The Scout cab by itself can be a bit dark if you aren't careful, but with the S210, the sound really opened up. It pairs up very well with the Mesa.

Even though it's fairly light, I've got an extra set of dolly attachments for Walkabout that I'll mount on it so I can simply wheel it around.

Man I love mine. It's the 4 ohm version. Works great!!! You guys will love them (especially for the price)!!!!
