Aguilar Single Coil + Bart NTMB = Shrill

Maybe your "tech" is the problem. Why isn't the "tech" troubleshooting this w/Bart and/or Aguilar? You paid for this, right? Take it back and have it properly installed. I'd be disappointed, too.
I have been on the phone with the tech and he is interested in resolving the problem.
And this guy has about 30 years of experience working with stringed instruments. He's kind of a "Mike Lull" for the Dallas FW area

Well you would hear a big difference when soloing one of the pickups if they were out of phase.

It sounds like this, and you can hear a huge difference when he switches them back to in phase.

@mmbongo, thank you for going to the trouble of finding this! It helps me hear what in and out of phase sound like (that guy REALLY has too many knobs to play with!)
It could very well be it's out of phase. The harsh highs and lack of low end on the video sure sound familiar. I have sent a photo of the soldering job to Aguilar and I'm waiting to hear back. I want them to see whether the installation was done right or not.
It's either the soldering job, or if not, they have offered to replace the pickups - which I thought was tremendous of them!

I'll let you all know what they say.
