Aguilar TH500 just blew up

Modern days, modern issues. Electronics get more compact and complicated which turns repair work into swapping parts. Even manufacturers don't do board repairs because troublehooting is slow and complicated. For those who are not willing to accept that, can get point to point tube amp :)

I solved the issue by having separate preamp and pa power amp. If something fails in the power side, then I'll buy a new one for the cost of repair work. Crown XLS series is compact enough, light and affordable to replace but I need to sacrifice a little form factor to use one (swallow rack mount). This is my solution to keep things simple and flexible, and in the case of failure I can always tale my old heavy power amp as an emergency solution. They also cost nothing to buy second hand.
