I'm considering buying an Aguilar TH500 to go with my TC RS210 and RS212. My main question is, are these compatible in terms of wattage and ohms? I play in a super loud reggae band where I've been driving those cabs with an RH450, and I'm looking for something that can replace that. I'm also hoping to use it with upright into just the RS210. I go all cross eyed when I try to understand how ohms work. Can someone help out the mathematically challenged and tell me if this seems like a good idea?

I guess another question is, is there a big difference in volume between the TH500 and the RH450?
If both cabs are 8 ohms then it will work.
8+8=4 ohms.
If one cab is 8 ohms and the other is 4 ohms, then no.
8+4=2.67 ohms. The Aguilar is 4 ohms minimum, meaning do not go lower than 4 total.
Just remember that you are as good as the weakest link in your cabs, which will be the 2x10 as long as you are not stressing them out all is good.

Yup.
Just use your ears and common sense not to over stress the speakers with too much knob twisting of the Bass and Volume and it is all good.
At 8 ohms that head is 250 watts, with both cabs for 4 ohms total it is 500 watts shared equally between your cabs.
I had an Rh450 that just died on me. I really liked it but I think I'm ready to try something new. I don't need MORE power, I just want to make sure the TH500 isn't significantly less power than the RH450.
It isn't volume wise. But the tone is different and the EQ does take some time to get used too.
