The $64,000 question is ...

I haven't read through every post here so forgive a dumb question but has anyone gotten a clear Jamerson-like P-Bass/B15 tone with the TH350 head? And if so with what cab?

Joe Karnes of Fitz and the Tantrums (probably the most modern representation of that style and sound) uses GS series 12" loaded cabs (also has a DB 410, apparently) with his Aggy heads. His cabs aren't considered vintage-voiced, but he makes it work on the instrument end of the chain.

Flats and good right-hand technique will get you 90% there. Heck, I nailed that vibe last night on "Stand By Me" just using my TH350's DI, a foam mute, and my tone rolled down.

FWIW, I favor DB112 cabs.

Purchased a TH350 today! I've owned before, but you go through that I just found something better phase, and sell. Well, please don't let me sell this time! Finally hearing what I've been looking for. Compared it to a PF500, this thing kicked so much air without even going past 12 o'clock on the dial. I had to really push the pf500 to compete with the th350.

Awesome! Aguilar is definitely rating their power more conservatively than their colleagues!

You didn't happen to trade your PF500 in for it at Corner Musoc today did you? I was in there breifly this afternoon & noticed a PF500 on top of the Aggie cabs..

I loaded a bunch of my gear, including my TH350 and SL112, on the tour bus headed for Vancouver today. (I fly up next week to meet it for the first gig...) I never thought I'd MISS a solid-state amp, but I already do. Oh well, I have a guitar gig this weekend to distract me & then off to Canada for about 5 weeks. All Aggie, baby!

I don't find this to be true at all?? I have both... use them for different bands because they sound different. I like both, but I find the 350 lacking whenever I run it at 8 ohms. I never have a problem with the pf500. Just want prospective buyers to know that at least one user needs to run the 350 at 4 ohms (in a full band gig) to be completely happy with it.

I tested my new TH350 on a small club gig two days ago. Nordy VP5 into TH350, DI into PA and into 8 Ohm Mesa PH115 cab.

Gain at 9, master at 2, drive at 9-12: plenty of stage volume, (competing with Marshall half stack and Fender Deluxe).

I received only compliments for my tone (due in part, without a doubt, to excellent cab and instrument).

For a larger stage or outdoor gig I think that it would be enough to bring another cab and that TH350 will deliver the goods, but maybe I am mistaken.

Didn't gig it tonight, but did jam with it yesterday. VERY warm & much differently voiced than what I'm used to. Finding some nice settings, but NOON on all knobs is working for now. :-) Great amp.
The B210NEO works well, but thinking I need a nice aggie 112 or two...

I occasionally try out small tweaks away from the 12 o'clock settings, but time and time again I go right back to noon across the board. Heck, even 12 o'clock on the master is just about right for practice!

Such an amazing and wonderful little amp. BEST amp I have EVER had, hands down.
