Aguilar tone hammer 500 with two 4x10s?

Just wondering what everybody thinks about a rig like that. The Tone Hammer 500 is rated for 500W @ 4 ohms and 250W @ 8 ohms.

If I were to run into two Fender rumble 4x10 cabinets rated at 8 ohms, what type of tonal capabilities will I be sacrificing or gaining?

Some context:
I play in a pretty loud prog doom metal adjacent band with guitarists using a 50 W amp and 100 W amp and both guitarists are cranking pretty loud. On top of that our drummer isn't very gentle either. I've been playing with a Fender Rumble 4x10 and 1x15 but I think a upgrade is needed. I definitely wanna get some tone guidance though.

In general, a 410+115 is a poor pairing, as the 115 will be hard pressed to keep up with the 410.
Also in general, if you have one cabinet that you like, adding a second identical cabinet is the best path forward.

Thank you, that makes sense. There is definitely more I need to do to get my tone to where I want it. But that's helpful advice

Would that be a better alternative than just pulling the trigger on a head with higher wattage?

Yes, a second 410 would help more than an 800W amp, for example.

When you add the second 410, you gain 3 dB because you doubled the power, and you get another + 3dB adding the second cab, potentially increasing you sound pressure level (SPL) 6 dB.

Since you need to double the power to add 3 dB, going from 500-800 W will increase the SPL by around 2 dB.

That's the rig in my avatar*, and it should be loud enough for all reasonable bands/gigs.
