I think you'll like it. I was a little worried that it might make the DB750 even heavier than it is, but I was pleasantly surprised. I don't think the head case weighs much more than the ProTec rack bags.

I already contacted Mike at Aguilar and put a bug in his ear about some sort of slip cover for the head cases. He said they are looking into them, but it would probably be the end of the year if/when they'd be available.

How do you like your DB359? I've heard nothing but good things about them. I thought about one once when I was considering downsizing my DB750...until I realized that although they are smaller in size, they weigh a little more than the 750. So much for the idea of downsizing. I'm thinking a DB212 under a DB359 would be a killer rig.

I love the DB359! It's the best all tube amp I have ever heard. Given I have never heard an SA200 or a Trace V8. Yes it is a little heavy but sometimes you have to sacrifice for good tone. You aren't going to have everything you need in a small light-weight package. Right now I am going to be using the DB359 through an Ernie Ball Music Man HD212 but maybe in the future I will get a Tweed DB 212.

That does look great.

I have the headcase in black, and two DB112s in Boss Tweed. The tweed looks
awesome, but does not seem as durable as the black (tolex?).

If anybody has tried all of them, I would love to hear opinions of the sonic differences between the smallish members of the DB line:
Two DB112s
DB212
DB115

I like the DB112s a lot, but what's a good combination for a loud/thick/full sound with the DB750?

With the exception of the head case, I do have covers for all of the cabs...the thick padded ones. My situation is a bit unique because I don't play out all that often, and when I do, it is usually for outdoor/festival type gigs. My equipment is loaded/unloaded by me and goes into the back of my Explorer.

I did the "touring" thing when I was young, so I know the abuse equipment can take. Is tweed the most durable cover material made...probably not, but like most things, it will certainly last longer if you take care of it.

My guitar player has an old Gibson Ranger amp with a tweed covering that was made around '59 or '60. That little amp has seen more gigs in its life than most of us will ever see, and with the exception of a couple of drink rings, it's in pretty good shape. It's all relative....
