peabody, that is one bada** looking amp setup, and your Jazz Bass is smokin' as well, -congrats! I haven't tried Aguilar's DB Series cabs, they sound like they're more up my alley, being more geared for live playing and having more midrange "bark" than the GS Series.
I'm in the same situation as well
. My smaller cab setup is a pair of GS112's. My band has quite a few bigger outdoor gigs scheduled for this summer. I'm thinking of buying a pair of GS112NT's to run with my pair of GS112's for the bigger shows.

That stack looks great! I'm looking forward to hearing a DB115/DB212 setup someday. I think that would kill.

Actually, it's a '71, but it is a beauty. It's mostly original (neck, pickups, pots, etc.) but I did have it refinished about a year ago. The oval tuners make it look older.
um, that is the most amazing rig i have ever seen. unfortunately for a touring musician that would be impractical and impossible to keep beautifal like that so that is out of my list.

Considering Madtown broke the record snowfall mark a month ago, I understand completely (and it ain't over yet).
Yes this rig is BEAUTIFUL. If it sounded like I wanted it too and weighed 1/2 as much I'd be all over that like white on rice. Heck if I made another $10,000 a year i'd be all over that as well.
Oh yeah, the oval tuners threw me. I figured it was a late '66 when they introduced the block inlays. Well cool anyways man. I bet your set up sounds great. I just bought a DB 359 off Tom B and was thinking about getting a DB 212 to go with it.

Yeah, the oval tuners are a bit unique. I'm not sure if they're original or not. The previous owner had the bass for over 25 years, and they were on them when he bought it. Regardless, they do make the bass look a little older.
How do you like your DB359? I've heard nothing but good things about them. I thought about one once when I was considering downsizing my DB750...until I realized that although they are smaller in size, they weigh a little more than the 750. So much for the idea of downsizing. I'm thinking a DB212 under a DB359 would be a killer rig.

Lol I hear you there as I'm right outside of Madison, it's been unsettling to say the least.
At least it's not like last winter when I was up in Superior... talk about cold and tons of snow!!!!! Burrrrr!!!!
Stellar rig though. The tweed is definitely alluring.... I've been thinking about a GS412... I've had GAS for one for quite awhile and I think it would be a great alternative cab for my Henry the 8x8... maybe even run them together!!!! DOOOOOOM!!!!!
