Ah I need help deciding! help!

i would look into anything in the Vintage Modified series, they just came out with a second j and p, and also a jaguar. If you do look into a 5, realize that you might have trouble wrapping your head around the B. also, the B is usually floppy on anything under 36 inch scale. i have the natural VMJ and i love it.

You cant go wrong with squiers, except the affinity series.

your mind will change greatly once you play that bass...

Not quite sure how you can be a gear snob about squiers when you have a 200 dollar ibanez...

I heard it doesn't handle drop tuning to well is that true?

I have the Squier Vintage Modified P bass and I use it in drop C and it does well...

so my budget is actually 400, is there anything in the 300-400 price range i should check out?

yea but I don't have that type of freedom unfortunately
also the ibanez ATK is in my price range and that thing looks monstrous

In that price range I would not even think twice and get a Yamaha BB414.

Squier Classic Vibe 60's Jazz. Beat's the VM Jazz any day, and man is it a gorgeous guitar! You won't find better quality in the $300-400 range.

maybe new...once again i believe a used ibanez rules in the best bang for the buck.
