Double Bass AI Contra III minor repair help?

Hey all,
The inner workings of the head on my contra fell inside the amp housing (came detached from the inside of the back panel). I took off the panel to see that it was originally being held in place by some yellowish rubbery adhesive. Industrial hot glue or something? Emailed AI. I wouldn't have to ship it out if I knew what the gunk was... Thanks
