Double Bass AI Focus 2R dead?

Hi guys. I was just about to practice this morning but my Acoustic Image Focus 2R series 3 wouldn't turn on. Is there anything I can do to repair it? I have contacted Rick already but I'm waiting for reply.

Bought this amp three years ago used.

I don't feel good about this. Please help. Thanks.

Rick’s customer service is legendary. He will stand by his product. Also, our postal service is a wreck right now. When you do send it in, I would recommend Fed Ex if possible.

FYI, in March I sent some strings USPS to Canada and they finally arrived in July.
Hopefully things are better now...

Try another power cord. Worked for me when my amp wouldn't turn on all of a sudden.

I own a Focus 2R. It's a great amp and worth having repaired! If you're worried about turnaround time now, maybe get a cheap amp or combo to use in the meantime.

The cord is not the problem. I used other ones and the outlet I not the problem. I just checked the fuse. Hopefully that's the suspect!

focus 2r s3, eh? that's a top-of-the-line amp. let rick fix it. (edit: he may even upgrade it...) a.i. has the best service in the industry that i know of. it's a part of why i have 3 a.i. amps, including a focus 1 channel s3 and two series 4s.

Don't just replace the fuse. If the fuse blew it was for a reason. It could have been a voltage spike in your outlet but more likely it is a problem with the amp. Replacing a blown fuse without knowing why it blew and fixing it can make problems a lot worse.

Yours is broke. Send it to me and move on.

On a more serious note, there are 100s of threads detailing the legendary customer service from Rick at Acoustic Image. Send it back; you'll effectively get a brand new $800 amp for the price of shipping. Try that with any of the imported Chinese junk... End of conversation.

It's not like any of us have hundreds of gigs on the schedule right now.....
