Hi everyone, this is my first post on here. After perusing dozens of threads on here already and still not really finding my answer, I though I'd ask it myself.
Basically I'm trying to find out if there is any kind of cheaper alternative to even remotely replicating specifically the Dark Bubble setting on the Akai Deep Impact.
Since the now coveted Deep Impact is discontinued and the lowest price I've seen it just rumored for was $500, and all the listings I've seen personally have been much more. So the fact that that seems like a lot of trouble and a lot of money just for something I want use for ONE sound, I thought I should see if there were a dedicated box or at least something cheaper out there that could at least get close. I've done a search for synth fuzzes already, but nothing seemed to address this specific sound.

Now if the alternatives out there cost just as much then yeah, I might as well save up and wait to get the real thing, but if I can get around that and get something cheaper I will. So any suggestions you could give I would be happy to take.
