AKAI DEEP IMPACT DEMO

Nice demo. I wonder why they don't want to make these anymore? They'd make a killing if they could slap Muse all over some how and put a decent price tag on it.

This has come up in other threads, like the Bass Whammy, etc. The truth of it is that they really wouldn't make much money at all. How many people on talkbass would actually buy one? A hundred? Maybe two? And most of the bass-playing public has no interest. As a matter of fact, I'd wager that MOST of the bass players that would have an interest in it are here already. Most bass players I've met are not into effects, and almost all of them that ARE into fx are either here in TBFX or over at ilovefuzz.

I wonder why (given that Akai does not intend to re-issue), no one has cloned it?

Alas, the Deep Impact is a digital pedal, so cloning it would require having access to the source code.

If you watch through again I realized it was on the octave and I dialed it down to 2 and apologized ;). I was also dialing through different settings and hbe no idea what each was set at.

I used the pedal mostly in my bedroom with my '69 B15N just for fun never for live use.
