This story is beautiful. Makes me smile each time I read it. The two things I find amazing are firstly, the fact that it has not been shunned by its family and secondly, like most albinism in the wild, it hasn't ended up as lunch. Iceberg. Cool name too http://www.guardian.co.uk/environme...er-whale-spotted?cat=environment&type=article
Isn't it amazing that they have never made a version of this movie that can hold a candle to the Gregory Peck one? I mean, it's the best by miles. Or leagues, being all nautical and stuff.
I just thought you were calling a whale a fish but now I get the reference. It's been a long day. :scowl:
The whale is a white orca - scientists don't know whether the reason is albinism or not yet. They need to check its eye colour if they get close enough (as it says in the original link).
And from the article: Shoot it with a GPS tracker and post the location on www.albinowhalelocation.com or something while you're at it. I liked an above idea to harpoon the hunters. We could start clubbing the baby seal murderers too! I call the legs, ALL OFF THEM! After we're done with whale hunters and baby seal clubbers, wait for it.... we could skin the cosmetic lab psychos and test their products on them to see how good they are too! YAAAAAAAAY
