I just used one for a 2 week gig and I had good luck with the bass. It balanced well and had plenty of tone options. The one I used was built around the same time as the one you're looking at. Not a bad price either. Good luck!

A few years ago there was one at my local Guitar Center that I played regularly whenever I stopped by. I really dug it, (and a Europa they had too.) For awhile it was near the top of my GAS list because it was an Alembic that I could actually afford. 
But I did like how it played and sounded.

yeah...dnburgess has a 2nd hand epic coming in soon, as well as 3/4 body with 34" scale, and i also get to try his short scale series 1 small body, and a mark king sig
