I’m considering Fluence pickups for my bass as well but only tried them very briefly at NAMM a couple years back. The other option I’m weighing is getting some Nordstrands made.

Can't wait to see this thing finished! I already have the Fishman Fluence pickups and battery pack ready to install.

Nice looking fretboard. It's been a month since my last update so hopefully I'll be getting some news soon.

I have Zen Blades in one of my basses and they're great, but a bit polite.

When I eventually upgrade mine I'm either going to go for Zen Blades or Aguilar DCBs. I should try to find some sound clips to help me decide.

I haven't heard anything since the last photo but I'll keep this thread updated. I'm hoping it gets shipped by the end of the month or so, but I'll be happy if I get it before the snow flies.

I got an update last week that was basically, "I'll check tomorrow and let you know." Tomorrow passed so I messaged again and today's update was, "We'll be installing parts soon."

I hope these tests of patience end up worth it! I think they will be.

When's the snow fly in your part of MN? Growing up in the UP, we had to plan our Halloween costumes to go over our snowpants and winter jackets cuz we always had an early snow right before Halloween.

Yeah, I'm staying positive. Oh, hah! I have to update that, I moved a little ways East into Wisconsin just recently. Same weather, though; Halloween usually isn't snowy, Thanksgiving almost always is. We'll see what the crazy weather brings this year.

I just got an update this morning, in fact; came here to post it and saw your post! Looks like they've shaped the neck or something? I admit I was hoping to see it further along. I wonder if the body shape is giving them trouble on their equipment...

Well, I’ve had a handful of nothing updates over the months here. In February Jacky sent me this pic, which looks like they’re getting ready to paint. After a lot of bugging, he said today that he told them to paint it tomorrow and he would send pics on Monday. He also said it should be done in a week, but I’m taking all that with a big ‘ol grain of salt.
