All parts squier / Fender

Hello.
Squier is a licensed brand of Fender. Can we consider Squier replacement parts as all Fender parts? Does that make sense?
for example, an neck.

I could be wrong but I don't think there are replacement parts for Squier guitars and basses. But MIA and MIM Fender parts will fit depending of your Squier model.
Used Squier parts are available but I would go with new MIM parts personally.

A used neck is tricky IMHO as you don't know if there are raised frets or dead spots, if the screw holes align (neck and tuners) or if it fits your body neck pocket precisely before buying it, with no available return.

I understand. But the question is... can a Squier neck be considered a replacement for a Fender body? Would it be authentic to put a Fender decal on a Squier neck and say it is a Fender replacement part? Since it is a brand authorized by Fender

Swapping decals is not something you should do, especially if you intend to sell it. But if it makes you feel better, I can't stop you.

Fit wise, I would do research on a case-by-case basis. But as a rule of thumb, I believe most standard Fender/Squier bodies and 4-bolt necks are compatible.

It's not a question of changing or not. When you buy a neck from the All Parts website, you're going to put a decal on it because it's a neck licensed by Fender, right? My question is... does the same thing happen with a Squier neck?

Its a question of making something appear more valuable or desirable than it really is. An Allparts or other Fender licensed replacement neck (Warmoth, etc) tends to cost as much if not more than a genuine Fender neck, and is likely made to around the same quality, if not better. I wouldn't say its bad to put a Fender logo on one of these types of necks, but I wouldn't try to sell a parts build as a Fender custom shop or something.

Its shady to take a much cheaper, definitely used/previously installed Squier neck and make it look like a more expensive Fender, regardless of how it plays. I think I'd be morally okay to put a genuine Fender neck on a Squier body, though, if you just want the Fender logo. But again, be honest about what parts are being used when you go to sell it.

Just because the All Parts necks are licensed by Fender doesn't mean they are necessarily going to be used on a Fender. All Parts is paying to use Fender's headstock shape and I don't think putting a Fender decal on a All Parts neck is the right thing to do. If it was, All Parts would supply the decals, which I don't believe they do.

Personally, I wouldn't. Even if I was keeping the bass. A squire and or aftermarket neck is not a Fender neck IMHO. I've swapped out many a squier necks and I've had to adjust and refit them all for the most part. Mighty mite, aftermarket from Amazon, all had to be refit to a degree or another. I have in fact put a waterslide Fender decal on an aftermarket neck for a squier build before. But I wouldn't do it again. Can't really say there's much wrong with it especially if you never plan to sell it. But its one of those things where you're trying to make something its not. Even aesthetically or for taste. Otherwise, why would we? That's why I did it, for the look.

I would not put a fender decal on an All Parts neck and I definitely wouldn’t put one on a Squier neck.

Squier necks and fender necks may be interchangeable, but they come out of different factories in different countries and to some people that means something. Putting a fender decal on a Squier neck and billing it as “All fender” implies that the parts came from countries that they did not come from.

You say this isn’t about selling something, but the only reason I can see to ask these questions is if you’re trying to sell a parts bass and you want to advertise it as something it’s not.

Don't try to rationalize putting a Fender decal on a Squier-necked part bass. If you are so insecure about having the brand name, just do it.

I've bought a bunch of MIM jazz bodies and necks and have never had a poor neck pocket fit, misaligned holes, or any other fitment problem. I didn't do as many P basses but they were as good as the Jazz stuff when it came fitment and hole alignment. Don't know how that would translate to Squier but if you stay in the MIM universe, you should have little to no problems if my esperience is any indication of the quality of fit and finish of necks to bodies among MIM basses.
