well, for my 1000th post here at talkbass i figured it would be appropriate to make a thread. my current obsession is for singlecut basses with spiffy tops, so i want pics! show me your nordstrands, foderas, elricks, r-basses, and whatever else is out there! also, discussions about different brands and their singlecuts, your own love/hate for them, your own current singlecut gas pains, anythign singlecut related! enjoy, this one should be fun! eventually i will be able to add to the fun, as i have a custom order in the works with builder martin keith for a singlecut 5 string, so help build the gas and show me what you've got!

Here's my little gem.
A 33" Scale Single Cut Bolt-On 6er by Shuker Guitars.
White Ash Body with an Amboyna Top and matching headstock cap.
5 Piece Maple/Wenge Neck with Santos Rosewood Board.
EMG DC Pickups with Shuker 3-band EQ, + vol and pan.

Think that's about it! Oh yeah, pics >>

I'm always surprised at how many makers out there don't do enough carving on a singlecut bout and just leave a big chunk of wood there.

My Stroy Singlecut 5er. It's getting a major makeover. I just sent it to Michael Dolan who is going to turn it into a hollowbody. The bass itself is great, but it wasn't quite finished when I got it. It needs to be cleaned up a bit. He is going to get back to me about applying a finish. It's all ebony.
