All Singlecuts, All the Time!!!

This is one of my favorite basses of all time:

It's a LeCompte...it's damn fine work, and the pup choice to match the HB is killer.
I'm also usually not a big fan of "boutique woods," but this design really speaks to me.

I gotta start playing the lottery.

(edited to correct the builder's name, sorry!)

Nope, it's a LeCompte (sp)... One of Bud's creations.. CB SC series IIRC.. Here's his website.

Those Benavente SCD standards look like the ticket for us mere mortals to get a singlecut in our hands

I wish they did them with the upper horn coming in straighter - i dont dig the 'cut-back' horn - which is why all those stunning looking fodera single cuts just dont float my boat.

Which rules cause i cant afford one anyways.

My Stroy Singlecut 5er. It's getting a major makeover. I just sent it to Michael Dolan who is going to turn it into a hollowbody. The bass itself is great, but it wasn't quite finished when I got it. It needs to be cleaned up a bit. He is going to get back to me about applying a finish. It's all ebony.

I looked long and hard at that bass when it was for sale here and came about THIS close to pulling the trigger on it.

Please keep us posted on your progress with it! :hyper:
