In 1997 i went to theVFW where George Harrison was invited on stage by a local band in El Dorado, ill.
According to Louise Harrison it was during a visit in 1963. She married an American servicemember and moved to the St. Louis area in Illinois. She said they wete playing The Beatles first album not widely known in the U..S yet, when a Mailman heard the music through an open window. The Mailman said he liked the music. Louise explained it was her brothers band from England. The mailman said he played in a band too and was appearing at that VFW and invited them to his gig. That evening they invited George on stage and Louise said the crowd went absolutely crazy when George played. Louise said that if just one Beatle created such excitement, imagine all four! I always liked that story.

Got a couple of tickets to see Sir Paul in Sydney. Paid much more than I like but I’m pretty sure it’s my once in a lifetime moment.
Now to start lighting candles in the hope Sir Richard decides to join him for my show.

I see that Sir Paul is in Sydney on October 26 & 27. And that Sir Richard's tour finishes up on October 13. So, I guess if the 83-year-old isn't too tired, he might fly down under for a few special shows with his 81-year-old buddy. It could happen! Good luck.

Yes, 27th & 28th in Sydney time. I’m off to the Saturday 28th show.
… and here’s hoping that Ringo is so inspired! I acknowledge it’s a bloody long way to come though.
