9. Jim McCartney regularly "referred to parties or social gatherings" as "the night before"?? Sounds odd. I've never heard or read that and haven't found any confirmation.

The Train Song from A Hard Day's Night
Hmmm! I just found another head scratcher, 9 years late, from a previous episode of Chris Carter's "Breakfast with The Beatles" that, I guess, I've long known about but never really thought about before. Early in their movie "A Hard Day's Night", on the train after meeting Paul's grandfather, the stuffy gentleman enters their compartment and takes over shutting the window and even turns off Ringo's transistor radio! Who played the song on the radio? Was it studio musicians, or The Beatles themselves?
I remember thinking back in '64, when the movie was still new, that it should have been a recognizable Beatles song, like those used in the movie's night club dancing scene. It sounds like it could almost be a very bad cover of "I Saw Her Standing There", but not really. Anyway, I simply chalked it up to the same kind of nameless/mindless frenetic guitar music so often used in TV & movies of that day (and many years after).
What do you think?
