Alloy guitar kits

So I've been browsing for a p bass kit just to learn the ins and outs of how they function and found all the usual suspects (warmoth, best guitar parts, usacg, guitar fetish, Harley benton, etc.). But found a company I hadn't heard of which is Alloy.

Has anyone ever put one of these kits together (not just a p bass but any of them)? Their claim to success is all the parts work well together, and you can have them drill all the holes, or make quick connect wires if you can't solder, depending on how you want to proceed with assembling. You also have the option to upgrade the components (better bridge/tuners/pickup, etc).

They seem to be trying to supply the mid level kit market by having a kit that's not custom shop or total crap (they do also have custom shop services available). Depending on the quality I might keep the guitar as a backup for my main gear. Thanks in advance for any insight.

i have no experience with alloy. the kits look 'competent'...but nothing special, IMO. that said: i wouldn't balk at any kit i've seen given that i alter/mod/upgrade/adjust any instrument to play 'my way'.

OP: good luck with your kit purchase should you decide to pull the trigger!
