I have a 15 mixed grill: one HE and one LF. I use them together with the pf800 on occasion. Sound great. I got great deals on them at different times hence the mismatch. They behave well with each other and both sound excellent on their own. And they're so pretty.
Welp, was able to change my order to the 215HE + 210HE and they are in stock, ready to ship. So they will be on the way soon.
I didn't get the Ampeg covers for them, are those the best to get or something else? I really just need to protect against scuffs and cats. I don't think I want a padded cover because then not in use they will be stacked on each other.

I have got the Ampeg covers, they are great covers, however I'm sure other brands are great too.
I used the Tuki unpadded covers that Fliptops sells for the 60's B-15 cabs when I had the PF cabs. Same dimensions. But they've gone up $20 since I got mine in 2008, so I'd probably just pay the little bit extra and get the padded covers today.

Not exactly relevant to the thread...but...I am using two (or one for rehearsals) 210AV's and I am thinking about selling one 210AV and getting QTY:2 - PF112hlf's...so I can use two PF-112hlf's for the gig settings as opposed to two - 210AV's...they seem to be rated similarly but something tells me I would be able to push the 112's moreso than the 210AV's...thoughts?...JimmyM or otherwise...
I don't know that you'd be able to push them harder, but I have a PF112hlf, and I'm not entirely sure about this yet, but I think I may like the 112 better than the 210av's. But I go back and forth on that a lot so it could change tomorrow
If it's a volume question, then I would go for two PF115HE or PF210HE cabs.
They have a much higher power rating than the SVT210AV and the PF112HLF, go a lot louder.
They too sound great IMHO.
Yeah...the only cabs that interest me are under 31lbs!!....with one 210av, it is barely enough to handle rehearsal duty but it can...with two of them however, they really seem to shine and sound bigger than just merely double (if that makes any sense). That being said, I figured two of the pf112hlf cabs would do the same...I am glad you like the pf112 JimmyM but I was talking about pushing them as a pair....i will just get them and see how it goes...I like the aesthetic of two pf112's stacked as opposed to the side by side 210av (can't stomach the skinny tower or vertical stacked 210av's - although it sound better having them raised - just looked silly to me personally)!!
Wouldn't want two 210av's at a punk rock club with lots of stage diving, but I like the tower look myself
Got a surprise yesterday when the FedEx truck pulled up with two big Ampeg boxes! It was only Thursday when I called to change my order from the out of stock 115LF's to a 115HE and 210HE which were both in stock. Sweet! I've only been able to play them at home level so far, but I can tell I'm liking the 210 over the 115. The 210 is deeper and crisper sounding, the 115 being more middy. It will be fine though, but when I can only take one cabinet, it will be the 210.
So let's talk covers now! How foldable/collapsible are the Ampeg branded covers? I was considering padded covers from LeCover or Tuki, but I don't think I want a cover that keeps it's shape when it's not on the cabinet as I won't have anywhere good to put the cover when not on the amp. I really only need protection against scuffs when loading, and from cats, so I'm kinda leaning towards the basic covers from LeCover which cost about $35.

Don't know a lot about covers since we don't have a cat! Congrats on the new rig, I have the same two cabs, they sound great together. Played one at a time, yes, you do hear a difference, but I'll be damned if I can figure out which I prefer. Some day's I swear I like the 115 better, other times I think the 210 is nicer. Nice problem to have though! Enjoy.
As you can see on the pics, the cover is padded, so the cabinet is protected against rain as well as bumping into/onto things.
It is easily foldable (in fact, you can flatten it even more than shown on the photo)
Also on top you see the flap for the top handle of the cab.

Judicious application of planned creases and weighting down will form the LeCover product into a foldable collapsible cover.

Because my guitar player has the padded 'shell' type covers and they do not fold. They just spring back into shape. I'm not sure what kind they are though. So the padded LeCovers easily fold flat-ish you say?
