Almost NBD.......

So I'm so close to a NBD I can taste it. Next Saturday, May 12th, I finally graduate from college. When my Grandmother asked me what I wanted as a grad present, I responded with "IBANEZ SR506"!! She said OK and to just let her know when I wanted to go get it. This was in January.......

I tried to wait like a good boy until actual graduation to go get it, but Guitar Center had other plans. In Feb they had a 15% off coupon on all Ibanez products and with a $600ish price tag 15% is a chunk off. So she go ahead and order it. F-ing sweet right?!?!? nope............... Even though the bass has been bought and paid for, I can't have it until the ACTUAL GRADUATION ceremony...... When it came in, I got to open it up and check but other than that, it's been sitting at my grandma's house just waiting for me..... SINCE FEBRUARY!!!

so close little 6 string, so close.........

Congratulations. You're a much more patient person than I probably more than any of us. I would have broke into my grandmas house and stole it. 506 is great.

I have a built in practice time. I play for my church EVERY sunday. No matter how busy I am I always make time for weekly practice. I rarely practice at home but we get in a good 2-3 hour practice once a week then warm up and service Sunday morning.

Now if i didnt have that, i probably wouldnt touch a bass for a while. So I would say get in with a band a stick to your practice times. It keeps you sane when school, work, your wife, and family is pulling you every which way!

In a very demanding program (Electronics Engineering Tech.) I have still been able to practice 2 hours a day since I got here. You just need to know how to manage your time.

Yep My Bachelor's is a double major in Industrial Engineering and Mathematics.
