(almost)New Bass Day!!!!

This is what happens when I'm too excited because after wanting one of these for many years, I'm finally in the position to get one. And then.....as life would happen, the company stopped making them earlier this year.

So....all I could do is search for one on the used market. Thing is, I had a set of options I wanted on this bass. For those who don't know, Carvin is factory direct, so when you order, you can customize your instrument with any number of a ton of different options, from colors and wood types, to pickups, different frets, and on and on. I had a setup in mind that I wanted to order.

So, here is the new (to me) bass...

It's a 5 string, fretless with inlaid fret lines, tortoise binding on the body.....it's the exact color combination and set of options I wanted. And now, all I need to do is wait 3-5 business days(or longer, perhaps, since it's so close to Christmas) for it to arrive on my doorstep.

I'll take some more shots of it when it shows up. Comes with hardshell case. I called that GC store and the guy I spoke with said it looks almost like it never came out of the case.

Congratulations! I ‘ve owned a fretless ac40 and a fretted ac50,both were fabulous.
The neck on the 5 string is wonderful.
