The op didn't say that it was the first aluminum electric bass or first aluminum J bass. There are several companies that have been making aluminum electric bass and J basses for years.



And there are several companies that have been doing it many years before Specimen.

I will be watching this VERY closely.

Anyone know what grade aluminum is used? You could get one of these anodized with some pretty dang sick colors/designs.

Zombie threading this. But, I just saw a couple videos with these basses and they do sound really good. Does someone have one here that can comment on the weight and or advantages of having an aluminium bass?
