For those who might need a refresher, here's the FTC's guide on recognizing and avoiding phishing scams.

Also, some web email platforms are better at recognizing and blocking these kinds of emails (Gmail in particular), although I've noticed some slipping through these days.

When you get something like this that you don't recognize, or has noticeable misspellings, weird wording, odd spacing, and odd low-res graphics, it's likely fake. Send it to your spam folder, if your provider has one, so that the system will get better at recognizing likely scam emails.
