Hear me out for a second:
Yesterday, I went to guitar center to see what was around. I saw they had a SR 300E. Normally, I wouldn't even have looked at it (just another soundgear bla bla bla), but I had just watched an Invalid Link Removed that showcased it and I was impressed by the sounds he was getting.
So, I gave it a try, and WOW...just wow! I don't think I'd ever played a bass with as much GOOD tonal variety (at least within couple thousand dollars). It was really exceptional.
Aside from the sound, it's nothing special, just a lower end Soundgear offering and I have not been a big fan of what I consider to be pretty bland instruments. But, I think Ibanez really did something amazing here that more people should at least take a look at.
I have not been as surprised with a bass since I picked up an old ATK not knowing what the heck it was.
I didn't like the color, so I didn't buy it, but I'm going to order one of the blue ones and probably just pick it up to show people. I encourage others to at least give it a try!
