Amazing bass for only $2500…

… in shipping costs alone. Amazing they can’t spring for free shipping on a $120k bass.

Bob Dylan custom shop made & OWNED 1993 Fender '60 Jazz Bass guitar | Abalone Vintage | Reverb
Meaning what, you expect them to send a $120,000 instrument to you via UPS Ground? No.

They're not using your typical commercial shipping, they're obviously using a specialized service with a huge amount of insurance.

And they're obviously targeting people who have no qualms dropping $2500 just for shipping.

It's just bad optics. Round up the prices to 122,500 and throw in "free shipping". It just "tastes" better.

Why anyone would want a bass that Dylan owned is beyond me. I have never seen as much as a photo of Bob playing bass. No mojo there in my opinion.

Here ya go! He did in fact track some basslines in the studio. He’s also been photographed on more than one occasion playing a Fender Bass VI.

Don't get me wrong, I like me some Bob, but I'd be more interested in a lyric sheet if I was looking for Bob mojo.
That said, to each their own.
Well, you learned about his bass noodling, but here’s the guitar you would want(or not)…

I stand corrected. Nice photos in fact.

Surprised me when I first learned about it too, although there’s no real reason why it should have.

If you can play guitar you should be able to handle a basic bassline, just like if you play bass you should be able to handle basic chords and lay down a simple rhythm guitar track.

Agreed, and I enjoy doing all of those things often.

Now I have been going down a Dylan rabbit hole...

Obviously they’d use white glove shipping/courier service. Just seems tacky to slap on such a ludicrous fee to an already insanely priced instrument.
