I got a DB212 a little while ago and thought I did awesome at $528. That green DB410 was down to $511 over the weekend. Just crazy. Almost considered sleeping in the basement for a while on that, but it wouldn't match my chocolate thunder.

I bought it but cancelled....... cant be lifting 100lb cab in this modern day of light cabs....modular is better for me, took a lot to not buy it though at that price.....

I just can't see myself buying a 410 that weighs 21 lbs more than my Neo 610. Great price, but the weight prevented me from pulling the trigger.

They are a lot better built than most basses at that price point. Everyone personal preference is different on tone. But, MTD necks are generally very nice.

I've never owned a CRB Series, which is their precision style bass. But, the Artist has a thinner nasally sound in my opinion. But, I've heard pup change outs to Bart's are pretty painless. The finishes are usually pretty nice. Electronics are decent, but not great. Hardware (Gotoh style) is okay, but nothing to right home about. But, the neck and finish will be better than any Fender, Ibanez or whatever in that price range.

In my opinion this is one of the best deals on Amazon for a bass. Quality bass that is nearing used pricing for this particular model. I have one already, or I would be all over it.

are those basses decent?

I have a fretless MTD Kingston CRB that I got from Amazon in December during these price breaks. It's a excellent bass with good action and solid craftsmanship. The neck is thin and fast. No complaints, particularity at these prices.

Also worth noting is that the fretted ones have a zero fret, which is a cool option I've never seen on a basses this affordable.
