American Deluxe Discontinued?

Okay, I was just looking through the new Fender 2010 catalog and there are no American Deluxe Basses anywhere, but there are still american deluxe guitars. Did Fender discontinue them, or am i just misreading something?

All I can say is I hears many things about Fender lately, nothing confirmed though. All the stories I heard were not sending Fender in the good direction. Dropping models, pushing more on mid-line models, Amp production in new factory (Not US). Might be just rumours, but I do believe, if what you say is true, to be one of those rumours confirmed.

First three models are the Am. Deluxe P, J and J5...I don't think they're discontinued.

They were there last time I looked, a few weeks ago. Very disapointing, if true. Am Dlx's are great basses. I wouldn't own a Fender otherwise.

Their amp production has largely been in Mexico for years now.

And every company is pushing mid-line models and if they don't have any they are introducing them.

I think they didn't drop many models. They did drop several finish options though, and it seems that the option for ash bodies also dropped on many if not all models.
