American Deluxe JB.

I'm in a group that sounds like Muse, with a lot of weight in a fuzz bass, and things like that. Well, as Muse.

I want to buy a bass, and I like a lot the sound of the JB, but I'm betwen the normal and the deluxe. What's better for a Muse sounnd, a modern and a bit synthtised sound?

I know that Muse bassist, Chris, owns a lot of deluxe JB, but... I wat to be sure.

And what about the neck? Maple or Rosewood?

Thanks a lot.

I like the Deluxe jazz basses, but you can get that "Muse" fuzz from anything if you adjust your settings right. I got a fuzz that I thought was pretty close to Muse from a P as well as a Deluxe Active J (both Mexican).

You could, but I'm just saying that if you play your controls right, most basses can sound like that. Chris used a lot of basses, including Rickenbackers, Pedullas, Warwicks, and even a souped-up '51 reissue. If you haven't already, you should try a few of these other basses. They might give you a good run for your money.
