Having been falling in love with this bass again, and taking advantage of the passive switch a bit more! anyone else out there using the elite jazz as their main bass?

Haha! i got really bored of playing right-handed, so for this year i've decided to be a lefty
Here is the D.I tone of the bass.. action is quite low on this thing hence a smidge of fret buzz
It had bartolini pre a pups i hated,reinstalled all the original part.
Got it cheap for resale,fell in love keeping it.

Beautiful elite man, love the maple fretboard, do you have any clips .. audio or video?
No clips sorry.sounds close to yours plus a bit of that maple brightness

My Am Elite Jazz is the nicest bass I own right now. I play it at home almost exclusively, take it with me to important shows or anything where an insanely low action will help me nail my parts. I gave up my beloved 2005 Music Man Sterling in favor of this bass because the sound fits what I play better.
GASing (sort of) for an AmElite P/J but probably will have to wait for that.

The PJ is great specialy the neck
in fact the perfect bass for me would be elite jazz with a p neck
I really really want to try one. The price tag is more than I am comfortable spending on a bass but if I had to pick a new "main" instrument it might be this.
I agree in that they are very over priced, maybe you can keep an eye out for a second hand one??

Yes the neck on my Precision Elite is super smooth! even more so once played in..!
I dont think they are overpriced.Used a 4 string can be found around 1200$,a 5 for around 1500$.IMO they are much better than a an american pro series for not much more money.
In the U.K they are around £2000 brand new, i'd say that is overpriced, but i still own three haha.
