American Made Amps?

Since I have been searching earnestly for a amp after a 20 year absence, I have looked at many an amplifier.

Consider: The Peavey website under each amp specs will tell you which is USA made, and they don't have an origin on the imports. Mostly higher end stuff.

GK, to my knowledge, about everything they make is imported, but they say they own their own factory in China versus outsource. They have videos on their website of their facility, which shows no manufacturing, just repackaging.

Genz Benz on the back of their Shuttle amps states: "Designed and Inspected in USA" (imported from China).

Some of the Kustom Deep End stuff is made in Ohio (?), so there you go on that.

Carvin, Tech21, Mesa, they all state that their stuff is domestic.

I gotta tell you, if I'm shelling out bleeploads of cash for an amp, I would like it to at least line the pockets of some local folks. FWIW.

Taiwan...not China.

Taiwan...not China.

This is an important distinction to make.
Taiwan is a considerably more middle class country than China. They also have more democracy and press freedom than in China. For this reason I personally don't have issue with stuff made in Japan or Korea either. I feel that at least the workers in those factories aren't toiling in some insufferable kafka-esque purgatory. they have some freedom of expression and freedom of choice. Not something totalitarian China is known for.

Mesa's amps are all made in the US.
