American Made Amps?

Acoustic Image are made right here in Raleigh, NC. In fact, quite a few boutique amp makers are here in the general Raleigh area, including Carr, but definitely many others.

My Carvin BX1500 says "Made in the USA". Interpret as you will...

Went to my local Guitar Center looking at bass amps and they did not have a made in the USA bass amp, none, they had Fender, Mesa, Ampeg, Acoustics, you name it, zero, nada, none, I have Carvin amps, Made in the good ole USA

I would love to see a pic of a mesa amp that does not say "made in the USA".
I would also love to see the inside of a "made in USA Carvin".

Everything that Mesa makes is made in reasonably sized batches, one model at a time, at their one factory in Petaluma. I've seen it with my own eyes.

How about GK's MB500 and MB800?
Anyone know where those are made?

G-K were having them made in China, but decided to move assembly back to the US recently.

No idea what proportion of the parts are US-sourced, but that's also true of other American brands like Carvin, Mesa, Epiphani, Acoustic Image, etc.

Petty hard to build anything electronic these days without using a significant amount of offshore parts. For example, there are no North American tube factories left. Heck, there are no Western European ones, for that matter.

Come to think of it, if you don't roll with NOS tubes, and double-check where they were sourced (even in the sixties, lots of tubes were made elsewhere), then playing an all-tube amp is downright Un-American!
