Double Bass American Standard Endpin Diameter

I know, the correct answer is "measure it," but we're on the road for a few days and suddenly realized I need to order endpin wheel ASAP for upcoming bluegrass festival. I'm not a bass player, and my partner who is isn't much of a gearhead, so collectively we have little useful knowledge on the topic. Given that the assembly may have been changed on a nearly 100 year old instrument I don't imagine anyone could give a definitive answer, but I'm hoping there's a "most likely" answer. My brief research seems to indicate that 10mm is generally quite common-would this be a good bet for a 1930s US made instrument?

Unfortunately there is no standard, it would be of great use if you could name the instrument. Like, is it a Kay? A King Moretone, American Standard, etc. If you don’t know and don’t have access to somewhere like a Walgreens that would have school supplies where you could get a ruler, there exists a solution called the Bass Buggy that would do the trick for you without using the endpin. It’s a set of wheels that just straps on. Otherwise they are ways you can use some straps and a regular old Dolly/hand truck to get it around.
Best of luck!

The recommendation for Bass Buggy is great, as long as you aren't going cross country or through loose sand, loose gravel or heavy grass. In those cases the Bass Buggy can get bogged down and pulled off the double bass while trying to push it, which can result in using your double bass as a rototiller; something with larger, wider tires would be ideal for those surfaces. Please don't ask me how I know
.
On relatively flat hard surfaces like cement, tarmac and hard bare ground, and on indoor surfaces, the Bass Buggy is ideal.
