Amp Advice

Hello, im new to the forums and bass playing in general and i need some advice.

Here's the deal. Im a guitar player, but now am taking up bass duties in a band.
At the moment im using an old yamaha motion b bass and playing through a sunn 215 b cabinet (that the drummers brother found on the curb) and using a PA amp as a head.

Im in college and money is pretty tight, but i was wondering if anyone could recommend me a good, reliable head that could power the 2x15 cab and be used for club gigs.
Im just looking for something that sounds decent, as the setup i have now is lacking in the tone department. The cheaper the better.

Lots of options out there, but you should be able to find a used GK head for not too much money, and they are reliable rock amps.

A price range would be helpful...depending on how cheap you're looking for, I would say any 4ohm amp that was designed specifically for bass, 200watts or more should do for gigging that cab.

GK or Peavey...used you should be able to find good deals.

right now im looking at under 200 dollars if possible.

Peavey Firebass will rock that 215...and if you look hard enuf you just might find one for $200
