Amp/Cab Question

I currently run a Ampeg SVT Pro 6 into an Ampeg 8x10..
Love the sound, not the weight.
I use a Gibson Thunderbird, SX P with SD 1/4# Flats.
The cab is too much to carry around, everyone complains who has to help me. I'm looking for suggestions on what new rig would get a comparable sound & loudness, without the weight. I have to keep up with two very loud Marshall 1/2 stacks. What do you guys think of the Marshall bass series? Thanks

I was in the same position as you are about a month ago. I was running a SVT 4 Pro through the 8x10. I bought the LMII and the loudness is greater then the 4 pro and sounds way better. I only have to turn the volume up to about 3 o'clock through the 8x10. It never sounded better. I'm still going to downsize my cabinet to a 2x12 neo and maybe a 2x10 or 15 to go with but I will always keep the 8 x10 around for larger gigs or leave at my practice place for rehearsal. I thought I would end up selling the 8x10 but not now after hearing how good it sounds with the LMII.
