So I let another band use my amp a few weeks ago at a gig, my Ashdown MAG 300 15 combo. He obviously pushed it too hard as when I got it back and played it, it farted out notes. At low volumes it sound like queen of the stone age distortion, but nasty. When I play through my pc using the line out the sound is fine, and when I hooked it up to another speaker it was fine so it must be the speaker that's damaged. What can I do about it?

My preference is a .44 Magnum.
As for the driver chances are it's toast and has to be replaced. Have a shop confirm it.
Learn from your mistakes. Recone the speaker, it won't be too expensive. Give the guys that used it a call to see if they'll pitch in. Either way, you'll know more about your friends and the world than you did before. Sorry about your setback.
I'm good friends with the bassist, he said he'd chip in on the repairs. If it's too expensive I'll just leave it, it isn't very noticable at gigging volume... And I'll be buying a 2x10 extension cab so it'll be less noticeable. Thanks guys!
Get the thing repaired now. It will only get worse and worse until it breaks probably at the worst possibly time.

Don't you just hate it when other bands want to borrow your stuff?!? If they're so freakin' good then why aren't they equipped themselves?
