Amp for bass AND guitar

If you go with something like an old school fender bassman, ampeg v4, traynor yba, ampeg b25 or something of the like. Grab up some old school cabs with high efficiency 15's like maybe some jbl e140's or d140's. These amps will do double duty very well and should take pedals well. Using high efficiency cabs will give you plenty of volume from the relatively low wattage for bass and also give you decent guitar tone because the speakers were designed to be more or less "full range" as in no tweeter or horn. You absolutely do not want a horn or tweeter in your guitar cab.
