I play a lot of musical theater and need a two-channel head that is versatile for both electric and upright bass. Need plenty of power for the electric bass. Was looking on the Mesa Boogie site but don't see what I want with two channels.

Look at the Acoustic Image amps as well as Euphonic Audio (EA) offerings. Having said that, EA has recently closed their operations. Chat with the folks at Gollihur.

Yea, the only current production amp heads with two channels that come to mind are the Acoustic Image products. Gollihur offers a Genz Benz acoustic array with two channels and lots of features, but I think it's only available as a combo.
Warwick had the LWA 1000, but idk if it's still being produced. It had a very low impedance input, so it'd need a preamp for a piezo pickup.

Acoustic Image makes one dual channel head the Claris 4+. It’s a very clean amp and their customer service is the best in the business.
The Genzler Gollihur Acoustic Aray Pro is a beautifully designed combo, however it only has a 150 watt power section. So, if you were playing
say “Wicked” or Aida with a pit orchestra I think you’d probably need more power than it has. You can also use a dual channel preamp with
whatever existing rig you have now, but the Grace Felix pre while incredible, (I own one) costs as much as a Acoustic Image Claris 4+.

Second the AI Clarus S4+. I don't play bass guitar, but I'm the house bassist at a jam session here Tuesday nights and a couple of different bass guitarists have fallen by and plugged into it and sounded just fine.
